Martin Memorial Health Systems

He lived by the motto, “It’s all Good.” He was a father, husband, son, brother, friend, coach and hero. His love of life and laughter were an inspiration and is what made Tom Vadas so special.
In memory of Tom and his 16 year fight with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, the community has rallied together to create the Tom Vadas Memorial Dodge For The Cure Old School Dodgeball Tournament. The 3rd Annual Dodge for the Cure event is to be held at Jensen Beach High School Gymnasium on Saturday, May 8th 2010 at 3 PM. There is no better way to capture Tom’s love of fun!
The proceeds will benefit the Oncology Inpatient Unit at Martin Memorial Medical Center, where Tom spent most of the last year of his life. Tom’s vision while staying on the 3rd floor was to create a “home-away-from-home” feeling for cancer patients and their visiting families . . . a place where they feel upbeat and motivated to continue their fight each day.
Help us again, create a successful and memorable event! Support the Tom Vadas Memorial Dodge For The Cure Old School Dodgeball Tournament through playing in the tournament, sponsorship, or gift donations- in the form of cash, raffle prizes or in-kind items. All donations are tax-deductible and checks should be made out to the Martin Memorial Foundation.
You are going to enjoy being a part of this fun and exciting event. Our heart felt thanks for your support! Because of YOU, we were able to raise over 17,000 dollars last year and 11,000 the year before.
